Where can I find insanely cheap airplane tickets?

OK…so I need to get to Honolulu, soon. I live in Florida and all the ticket prices are WAY over my budget. Where is a good place to get cheap airplane tickets?
Yea for one thing I don’t have a job. and another thing. I NEED to go because one of my best friends lives there and her dad just died. and she was there for me when my dad died so i feel the need to repay the favor.

If you are poor you don’t get to travel. The airlines are responsible to stockholders, and the flights to Hawaii are all full at higher fares.

If you NEED to go as opposed to WANT to go, you need to work more hours in order to raise the money.
